XRP price has climbed back above $1.50 after a sharp three-day rally, with whale accumulation adding fresh fuel to the move. Large holders increased their XRP balances by roughly 1.54 billion tokens over a 96-hour period, worth about $2.2 billion at the prices used in the analysis. XRP is now pressing into the $1.55–$1.60 resistance zone, where on-chain data shows a large concentration of previously traded supply. The next move around $1.60 could determine whether the rally extends or stalls.
XRP Whales Add $2.2B as Price Pushes Higher
Large-holder XRP balances jumped from roughly 8.1 billion to about 9.7 billion XRP between September 16 and September 19. The biggest increase occurred between September 16 and 17, followed by elevated whale balances through the next two sessions.
XRP price subsequently gained 8.22% over three days, taking the price back above the $1.50 mark. The sequence puts large-holder accumulation and the latest price recovery in close proximity, although the data alone cannot establish that whale buying caused the rally. The token is now moving into a much heavier supply area.
$1.60 Holds a 2.5B XRP Supply Cluster
XRP’s UTXO Realized Price Distribution shows roughly 2.5 billion XRP previously changed hands around $1.60. The level represents the largest visible supply concentration immediately above the current price region in the available distribution data.
Smaller nearby concentrations appear around $1.49, while larger clusters sit near $1.68, $1.86, $2.19 and $2.29. A move through $1.60 would therefore push XRP into a relatively thinner section of the displayed supply profile before the next major clusters emerge. A rejection would leave the recent rally exposed to profit-taking around the $1.50 area.

XRP Gains a New Perpetual Futures Market
Moscow Exchange began trading perpetual futures linked to its XRP index on September 22. The XRP contract is quoted in U.S. dollars, settled in Russian rubles and available only to qualified investors. The exchange also launched comparable perpetual contracts tied to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and Tron indexes.
MOEX reported more than 72,000 qualified investors had traded its crypto-linked futures, with cumulative turnover above 600 billion rubles. Its August figures showed average daily crypto-futures turnover of 2.5 billion rubles and a record 10.2 billion rubles on August 21.
XRP Price Analysis: $1.60 Is the Breakout Line
XRP is trading around $1.53, with the daily chart showing a strong recovery from the $1.25–$1.30 region. The latest advance came with a noticeable volume expansion, while the daily RSI sits around 64, keeping momentum firmly positive without reaching the 70-plus zone typically associated with an overheated reading.
The immediate battle sits between $1.55 and $1.60.A daily close above $1.60 would clear the nearest major supply concentration and expose $1.68 as the next upside level. A sustained move through $1.68 could bring $1.85–$1.90 into focus, followed by the larger $2.00–$2.10 supply zone visible on the higher-timeframe chart. Failure at $1.55–$1.60 would put $1.25–$1.30 back in focus. A break below that base would weaken the current recovery structure and expose the deeper $1.05–$1.10 support area.

XRP’s setup has shifted from recovery to breakout confirmation. Whale accumulation and stronger market participation are giving buyers a stronger base, but price still needs to absorb overhead supply before the rally can accelerate.
