The Bitcoin treasury firm Strive (ASST) just acquired $511 million worth of BTC.
The Dallas-based company bought 6,182 Bitcoin between October 16th and 23rd, stretching its total holdings to 43,000 BTC, per documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.
Strive is the fourth-largest Bitcoin treasury firm in the world, and the company’s recent purchase brought it significantly closer to the second- and third-largest treasuries, Metaplanet and Twenty One Capital, which own 44,000 BTC and 43,514 BTC, respectively. Michael Saylor’s Strategy easily tops the list with 848,517 BTC, according to Bitcointreasuries.net.
Matt Cole, Strive’s chairman and chief executive, hinted in an interview on the One Chair Podcast last month that his firm could end the year with some big BTC accumulations.
[28:20] “The potential for an electric finish to Strive’s Bitcoin holdings in 2026 is there, right? I think it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Strive to end the year as the number two largest Bitcoin holder.
Some things are going to have to go right for that to happen. I wouldn’t say that’s my base case, but I would say that it’s in the possible set of cards, right?”
Strive executed its recent BTC purchase at an average price of $82,732 per Bitcoin. The top-ranked crypto asset by market cap is trading at $79,958 at time of writing.
