The Quant price surged more than 50% in the past 24 hours, climbing from around $170 to levels above $260 as the rally accelerated into a major breakout. The token has gained more than 300% over the past week, with its market capitalisation expanding sharply as trading activity surged. The move follows fresh institutional developments around Quant’s tokenisation infrastructure.
Alongside this, the 24-hour trading volume also jumped above $1 billion, while derivatives activity and short liquidation added momentum. With the QNT price approaching $300 resistance, traders are watching whether the breakout can hold and extend further throughout Q4 2026.
Why is the Quant (QNT) Price Rising?
The strong catalyst behind the surge is the growing role in institutional tokenisation, particularly after The Clearing House selected Quant on September 24 to power its on-chain Money initiative, an interoperable network designed to clear and settle tokenised deposits for financial institutions. Besides, seven major UK banks, including Barclays, HSBC UK, Lloyds and Santander, completed live transactions using tokenised sterling deposits through Quant-built infrastructure.
The fundamental catalyst has been amplified by a sharp increase in market activity. QNT trading volume climbed above $1 billion, while open interest expanded rapidly. At the same time, roughly $17.2 million in short positions were liquidated over 24 hours, adding forced buying pressure and accelerating the breakout. Together, institutional tokenisation developments, surging volume and the derivatives-driven short squeeze have transformed QNT’s initial repricing into a 50%+ rally.
Can QNT Price Sustain a Breakout Above $300
The QNT price has broken sharply higher after spending several months in a relatively tight range, with the latest move reaching an intraday high of $286.43. The MACD has turned strongly bullish, confirming the momentum shifting in favour of buyers. Besides, the derivatives market provides an important warning, with the aggregated open interest rising to $63.65 million.
Besides, liquidations have also spiked, indicating that the move has already forced a significant number of leveraged traders out og their positions. The Futures CVD has jumped to 10.37K, showing aggressive buying activity in the derivative market, while spot CVD remains deeply negative at -68.48K. If spot CVD turns higher and begins confirming the futures move, it would provide stronger evidence that the breakout is supported by genuine spot demand.
From a price perspective, $286 to $300 is the immediate resistance zone after the latest rejection from the intraday high. A decisive close above $300, particularly if accompanied by stronger CVD and sustained volume would strengthen the case for price discovery. On the downside, the $200 to $210 region is the first important area to watch.
The Bottom Line—Can Quant Price Mark a New ATH Above $500 in 2026?
After the latest move to $368, Quant’s previous high of $428 has come back into focus. A rise above $500 would require another 40% jump and a shift from a leverage-driven breakout toward sustained spot demand, supported by further institutional tokenization adoption. If QNT can reclaim and hold the former ATH with strong volume and improving spot CVD, the $500 target becomes technically relevant.
