Top 12 Telegram games worth exploring in September 2026

Telegram started as a messaging platform, but its role in crypto has grown well beyond group chats and community channels. Over time, it has become a common meeting point for crypto communities, projects, and developers, helped by features that let users interact with bots, mini-apps, and blockchain-based services without leaving the app. Games have become one of the more visible parts of this ecosystem, giving projects a way to bring interactive experiences directly into the same platform where their communities already spend time.

Telegram games also differ from traditional mobile games in how closely they can connect gameplay with online communities and crypto ecosystems. Many can be accessed directly through Telegram, often without requiring a separate game download, while some incorporate features such as token rewards, NFTs, wallets, or blockchain-based assets. This combination of accessibility, social interaction, and Web3 elements has helped create a distinct gaming category, ranging from simple tap-to-earn experiences to more developed strategy and multiplayer titles. With that said, here are the top 12 Telegram games worth exploring in September 2026.

1. DOGS

DOGS brings a virtual-pet theme to Telegram, with players raising and breeding digital dogs while completing daily tasks and breeding competitions. Launched in mid-2024, the game has attracted around 10 million players and uses DOGE as its in-game cryptocurrency reward. Players can also take part in mini-games and community events for additional rewards, giving them reasons to return beyond looking after their virtual pets.

The straightforward setup is a big part of DOGS’ appeal, particularly for players who want a game that can be picked up without much of a learning curve. Its dog-themed design also fits naturally with the wider popularity of Dogecoin-inspired crypto culture. Like many token-based games, the DOGS ecosystem has experienced changes in market activity since launch, but the game continues to combine casual gameplay, social events, and crypto rewards within Telegram.

2. Catizen

Catizen takes the familiar idea of raising a virtual pet and brings it to Telegram. Launched in 2023 by Pluto Studio Limited, the game lets players raise, breed, and trade digital cats, with rarer cats potentially bringing higher in-game earnings. Players can also take part in challenges and competitive events to earn rewards, while the marketplace gives them a place to trade their cats and other in-game items. The game has attracted around 15 million players and uses the CATZ token as part of its in-game economy.

CATZ can be used to buy items, upgrade cats, and trade within the game, giving the token a role beyond simply being a reward. Catizen also drew attention around its airdrop, which was initially expected to allocate 43% of the total token supply but was later reduced to 30%, with 15% distributed in the initial phase. Despite the changes around its token rollout, the game’s combination of collecting, breeding, and trading gives it a gameplay loop that feels different from Telegram’s more straightforward tap-to-earn titles.

3. Blum

Blum started out in 2024 as a much simpler game than what it has turned into. Users could collect Blum Points through mini-games, daily check-ins, and social tasks, including the Drop Game, where players tapped to catch falling items. Daily logins also provided Game Passes, with the points and activity eventually contributing toward the $BLUM airdrop. More than 1.3 million users took part in the airdrop campaign.

The project has since moved away from its tap-to-earn roots and adopted a Trade-to-Earn model. $BLUM now has utility across the wider Blum ecosystem, giving holders access to trading perks, advanced tools, and exclusive events. Previous campaigns have distributed more than $7 million, while the project’s focus has shifted toward building an on-chain trading platform rather than remaining solely a Telegram mini-game.

4. Notcoin

Notcoin was one of the games that brought tap-to-earn into the mainstream of Telegram gaming. Developed by Open Builders, the development arm of TON, it attracted 35 million players with a mechanic that required little more than tapping the screen to accumulate in-game Notcoins. After its token generation event in May 2024, those earnings could be converted into NOT tokens. The project also kept its large user base engaged through collaborations with other Telegram games and bots, including Lost Dogs, alongside regular airdrops and new reward opportunities.

The original tap-to-earn formula has since taken a back seat. In 2025, Notcoin’s developers acknowledged that the model had struggled to encourage lasting engagement, while the NOT token has continued to trade and found uses in newer Telegram gaming and social applications. As a result, Notcoin has gradually developed from a simple tapping game into a broader ecosystem built around its token and Telegram presence.

5. Yescoin

Yescoin swaps the usual tapping mechanic for something a little more active: swiping. Launched in 2024, the game has attracted around 50 million players, who swipe across coins appearing on their screens to build up their YesCoin balance. Daily missions and periodic exchange events provide more ways to collect coins, which can then be converted into YES tokens on the TON blockchain.

There is also a small idle element through YesPac, a robot that continues collecting coins while players are away from the game. Yescoin has also connected with other Telegram games like Catizen, W-Coin, and PixelTap, giving it links across different parts of the Telegram gaming scene. The result is a straightforward game loop with a few features that keep it from being just another clicker.

6. BabyDoge

BabyDoge started in 2021 as a memecoin inspired by Dogecoin, but the project has since grown into a wider ecosystem on the BNB Chain. Its original focus on supporting animal adoption remains part of the project, which has also expanded into interactive and DeFi-based features. The ecosystem includes BabyDogeSwap for token swaps and farming, as well as NFT minting and an AI meme and image generator that lets users create and mint memes as NFTs using BABYDOGE. More than 1.9 million players have engaged with the project.

The project has also tied its crypto ecosystem to real-world animal welfare efforts. In one campaign, BabyDoge donated more than 81,000 pounds of dog food in 24 hours, setting a Guinness World Record. Its token supply originally stood at 420 quadrillion, with more than half of those tokens since burned. Alongside its smart-contract utilities, these developments have helped BabyDoge build something larger than its original memecoin identity.

7. Hamster Kombat

Launched in 2024, Hamster Kombat quickly became one of Telegram’s biggest games, attracting more than 300 million players. The game puts users in charge of a hamster-run crypto exchange, where they can complete missions, make upgrades, and earn HMSTR tokens as they progress. Developed by an anonymous team, its simple gameplay and Telegram-based format helped it become one of the most prominent titles of the platform’s tap-to-earn era.

The HMSTR token launched on The Open Network (TON) on September 26, 2024, giving players a way to connect their in-game activity with a broader crypto ecosystem. The launch also drew mixed reactions, particularly around the size of the token airdrop, but Hamster Kombat has continued to maintain a presence on Telegram. Its rise shows how quickly a simple game can attract a large audience when gameplay, community participation, and crypto rewards are brought together in one platform.

8. Bombie

Bombie drops players into a post-apocalyptic wasteland where the main objective is simple: survive the zombie attacks and earn $Bombie along the way. Launched in early 2024, the Telegram game has attracted around 5 million players. New users can claim rewards as soon as they join, with the amount linked to how old their Telegram account is. The game also throws tougher boss battles into the mix, with bigger rewards available for players who manage to take them down.

There is a competitive side to Bombie as well. Weekly competitions give players a chance to go up against each other for larger prizes, while inviting friends can increase their own earning potential. That combination of combat, competition, and social rewards gives Bombie more going on than simply tapping for in-game currency.

9. Pixel Tap

Pixel Tap takes a simple idea and gives it a retro twist. Launched in late 2023, the Telegram game lets players create pixel art by tapping their screens, earning PIX tokens as they go. Around 8 million players have tried the game, which combines the familiar simplicity of a tap game with the appeal of creating and collecting digital artwork. As players progress, they can unlock additional creative tools and rewards.

The PIX earned through gameplay can be used to buy tools within the game or traded for other cryptocurrencies. Players can also show off their creations in a virtual gallery, giving Pixel Tap a social element alongside its basic tapping mechanic. This makes it less about competing or managing an in-game economy and more about giving players a casual way to create, collect, and earn at the same time.

10. TapSwap

Launched in 2023, TapSwap combines tap-to-earn mechanics with resource management and has attracted more than 15 million players. Set in a futuristic environment, the game initially had users collect TSWP by tapping their screens, completing daily missions, and trading resources with other players. What began as a relatively simple earning game later expanded with features such as staking, Tappy Town, a city-building mode, and PvP tournaments.

TapSwap introduced its TAPS token on the BNB Chain in February 2025, replacing the earlier TSWP system. Players could convert their in-game balance at a fixed rate of 1,000 TSWP for 1 TAPS before connecting a BNB Chain-compatible wallet to withdraw the tokens. The addition of different game modes and blockchain features has helped TapSwap enter a new space in terms of Telegram gaming, one that moves past its original tapping mechanic while maintaining an active Telegram player base.

11. MemeFi

MemeFi launched in 2024 as a collection of mini-games built directly into Telegram. Its lineup includes tap-to-earn activities, spin-to-win games, referrals, and giveaways, so players have more than one way to earn rewards. The app also brings crypto features into the experience through on-chain wallets and NFTs, while premium options can give players faster progression and better odds on some activities.

MemeFi has grown into a sizeable on-chain community, supporting more than 25 million TON wallets and 15 million EVM wallets. It also counts 2.5 million paying users on-chain. With rewards, games, advertising, and blockchain features all tied into the same platform, MemeFi offers a different take on the Telegram gaming format than titles built around a single tap-to-earn loop.

12. X Empire

Launched in early 2024 as Musk Empire and later changed to X Empire, the game brings a post-apocalyptic setting to Telegram gaming, where players build and manage their own empires. The game was later rebranded as X Empire as its scope expanded, and it has attracted more than 40 million players. Rather than relying only on tapping, players can complete daily tasks, develop skills, expand their empires, negotiate with others, and take part in community challenges to earn XEMP rewards.

The game has also developed a sizeable Web3 community, with more than 9.4 million active users and 5 million connected wallets. As players improve their empires, they can unlock new features, boosts, and additional rewards, while XEMP can be used across multiple blockchain platforms. This combination of empire-building, social features, and crypto rewards gives X Empire a broader gameplay structure than the basic tap-to-earn format associated with many early Telegram games.

Final thoughts

Telegram games have come a long way from the simple tap-to-earn mechanics that first brought millions of users into Web3 gaming. While tapping remains an important part of the format, newer games are adding features such as strategy, collecting, breeding, trading, and competitive events, making the experience less about earning tokens and more about giving users a reason to keep playing. The tap-to-earn model still has an important role, though, as its simple format makes it easier for people with little or no gaming or crypto experience to get involved. Before putting any money into a game or its associated tokens, players should take time to understand how the game works, research the project, and familiarise themselves with its risks and tokenomics.
