The Sei Development Foundation, an independent US nonprofit advancing open-source permissionless protocols, announced that TMO Labs, a Korean payment infrastructure company, will integrate its services with the Sei Network. The move aims to integrate blockchain technology into everyday payments in South Korea.
TMO Labs will use Sei as the core infrastructure behind its TMO Wallet. Its wallet is already integrated with DaemDaem, a transportation and rewards application with a broad user base. The wallet is also designed to connect with major local platforms such as Naver Pay, Payco, and other loyalty ecosystems.
Through the integration, users will be able to hold blockchain-based assets, including stablecoins, directly in TMO Wallet. These assets can be linked to existing payment and rewards systems and used in retail purchases, online payments, and transport top-ups.
