Why all the money went to Stellar
The daily inflow coincided with a series of integrations in the Stellar ecosystem at the end of October. At the Meridian conference in Lisbon, the Securitize platform announced the completion of its technical integration with Stellar. The step simplified access to the network for Securitize’s institutional clients, including BlackRock and Hamilton Lane.
In parallel, asset management company Janus Henderson, in partnership with Centrifuge, launched the JQQQ fund on Stellar, tied to the Nasdaq-100 index.
A direct link between these announcements and the $111.5 million tranche has not been institutionally confirmed; however, the events create a backdrop for the movement of liquidity. Token Terminal analysts also updated Stellar’s classification, assigning it to the categories of tokenized assets and yield instruments.
The annual growth of assets under management (AUM) on the Stellar network amounted to 360%, reaching the $4 billion mark. The current daily anomaly confirms that major players — including Franklin Templeton’s BENJI and Spiko’s SAFO funds — use Stellar’s infrastructure for targeted settlements in the debt market, thanks to which the platform holds its leadership during periods of capital consolidation.
Retail investors, meanwhile, predominantly allocate funds within EVM-compatible L2 solutions.
Such single-day concentration should, however, be read with caution: one or two large institutional transfers can easily skew daily flow data, so the sustainability of Stellar’s lead will only become clear over weekly and monthly windows.
