The sci-fi trading card game Parallel TCG has released its all-new Game Manual 1.0, a complete guide covering core mechanics, the Banking system, basic and advanced rules, and lore. The studio published the manual through its official channel alongside a new visual Cheat Sheet for players who want the fast version. The manual lands as the card battler reaches a wider audience than ever. Parallel TCG is now live on the Epic Games Store, Steam, iOS, and Android, putting the future of play title in front of mobile, PC, and console-adjacent players. The studio described the release as the result of rebuilding large parts of the experience, with the team saying it is genuinely happy with where the quality landed.
The Cheat Sheet Breaks Down the Core Loop
The accompanying Quick Start Guide condenses the game’s full ruleset into a single visual, built around a simple tagline: Bank Cards, Build Energy, Win the Battle. Players start each match with a 40-card deck, 30 starting Health, 5 starting cards in hand, and a maximum hand size of 8. The goal is straightforward, reducing the opponent’s Health to 0 to win the game.
The cheat sheet maps out the turn structure across six steps: Draw a Card, Bank a Card, Play Cards, Activate, Attack, and End Turn. It also explains card anatomy, including card name, type, sub-type, cost, ability text, Attack value, Health value, and keyword icons, while a separate panel breaks down the playfield with positions for the player’s Field, Bank, Waste, Paragon, Hand, and Deck, plus a Singularity zone reserved for the Shroud faction.
Banking and Paragons Sit at the Heart of the Game
The Banking system is what separates Parallel TCG from most digital card battlers. Once each turn, players drag a card from their Hand into their Bank, and that card becomes Energy. Energy then remains for the rest of the game, refreshing at the start of each turn. The mechanic eliminates the mana flood problem that plagues many traditional card games. Players never get stuck holding powerful cards with no way to play them. Instead, they choose which cards to sacrifice for tempo and which to keep for immediate impact, with the studio framing every Banked card as a long-term investment.
Energy progression follows a steady curve. Turn 1 starts with 1 Energy, turn 2 with 2, and so on, scaling up to 5+ Energy by the fifth turn and beyond. That ramp lets players plan their plays around when to commit big units and when to hold back for late-game pressure.
Every deck is led by a Paragon, a hero card that sits outside the deck and offers a unique passive ability across the entire match. Once per game, the Paragon can also be played directly to the Field as a powerful Unit. The system spans 5 unique Parallel factions, each with 3 distinct Paragon leaders for a total of 15 hero options at the top of the meta. Card types span Units, Effects, Relics, Upgrades, and Splits, with controls available across PC mouse inputs and mobile tap, long-press, and drag gestures.
Parallel TCG Live Across Four Platforms
The manual release coincides with a broader update from Parallel Studios leadership. According to a community update from team member Kalos, Parallel TCG is now live on Epic, Steam, iOS, and Android, with the team rebuilding large parts of the experience for this multi-platform rollout. Early data is giving the studio clear direction, though the team admits there is still a lot to prove on the player growth side.
The biggest missing piece in the funnel right now is anon login, which is being added. Beyond that, the team highlighted three priorities. Optimizing customer acquisition cost versus average revenue per user, reducing drop-off, and scaling distribution intelligently. New content and partnerships are being prepared for the next phase of growth as the studio pushes toward a broader audience.
Parallel Colony Pivots Toward 4X Strategy
Parallel Colony also went through what the team described as a major evolution. The studio redesigned core gameplay systems to align more closely with 4X strategy games, one of the most proven and profitable genres in gaming, while keeping the AI-driven soul of the experience intact. The result, according to leadership, is a game with far more player agency, stronger progression, and mechanics that feel both familiar and fresh.
The current build is nearly ready for Avatar holder testing. The team is down to 12 outstanding bugs before shifting focus toward expanding PvP gameplay. The official @ParallelColony account confirmed that a private playtest for Avatar holders is imminent, telling colonists to look for an email with registration info if they hold at least one Avatar. The studio has been heads-down since GDC and is preparing to share the latest build.
Kalos added a clear warning to players who have been following Colony since its earlier builds. The new version is not anything remotely close to the builds running on the Solana phones, and the studio is asking players to prepare for a very different game from what they have played before.
AI Wayfinder Reworks Around Financial Agents
The third pillar of the Parallel Studios update covers AI Wayfinder, described by leadership as the wildcard of the lineup. The team reworked the entire product around what it believes actually creates value for traders, applying lessons learned from both gaming and from what did and did not work in previous versions.
The studio is direct that anyone expecting the next version to resemble the old product is very wrong. What is coming is described as a complete shift in direction and ambition. Audits are back on the $PROMPT bonding contracts, and the focus has moved to solving a real problem around discovery, coordination, and distribution for financial agents through an agent app store and skill hub model.
Beyond the three core products, the studio has been running a number of experimental AI projects internally in both gaming and trading, with leadership describing them as some of the most ambitious work the team has done so far. Whether all of them ever ship publicly remains an open question.
