World’s latest push into banking and finance could give the WLD price prediction a fresh bullish angle. The company is introducing identity-verification products designed to tackle deepfakes, impersonation, and fraudulent approvals. But here’s the catch: real-world utility doesn’t automatically translate into token demand or a rising price.
World ID Targets a Growing Financial Security Problem
Deepfake fraud is becoming a serious headache for financial institutions. In 2024, an employee at UK-based engineering firm Arup reportedly fell for a deepfake scam involving a transfer of approximately $25.6 million. That’s the kind of risk World wants its identity technology to address.
The new product suite includes a World ID app that stores proof-of-human credentials, World ID for Zoom, and World ID for agents. Together, these tools aim to verify human identity and authorization across digital interactions.

Three Products Bring Identity Checks Into Focus
World ID for Zoom uses an Orb to match an iris scan, selfie, and live video. Successful verification enables a verified-human badge on Zoom. The integration is now live on the Zoom App Marketplace.
World ID for agents takes a different approach, allowing AI agents to receive delegated proofs that verify authorization from real humans. Meanwhile, banks are still exploring potential applications, including high-value transfers, account recovery, and executive approvals.
WLD Token Demand Remains the Big Question
Design partners include Bain Capital, VanEck, Pantera Capital, OpenExchange, and Outtake. The technology also uses privacy-preserving cryptographic proofs intended to keep raw biometric data private.
The network aims to charge apps and institutions in WLD tokens to access these services. That creates a potential link between adoption and token demand, but the banking use cases remain early-stage.
WLD Price Prediction Depends on Real Adoption
The WLD price prediction could turn more bullish if institutions adopt these products and demand for token-powered access increases over the coming months. For now, the announcement offers a possible catalyst, not proof of rising demand. Adoption, usage, and actual token requirements will matter more than the headline alone.
