Animoca Brands — long one of Web3 gaming’s most aggressive investors, with more than 380 Web3 bets including The Sandbox, Axie Infinity, and Yield Guild Games — has cut its pure gaming exposure to roughly a quarter of its portfolio, according to people familiar with its recent allocation moves and public commentary. The company has been leaning harder into tokenization services, treasury management, and stablecoin-focused products, seeking steadier cash flows than volatile in-game economies can offer.
