Rappers, Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform their NFT track ‘From the D 2 the LBC’ at MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs). The party kicks off tomorrow, August 28, at 8 p.m. EST, live on MTV. The company has teamed up with the creators of the BAYC, Yuga Labs, to do the execution directly from the Otherside. This is the first time MTV has introduced the metaverse into its event.

Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform at tomorrow’s VMA event hosted by MTV. Interestingly, they will be performing directly from Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse. This means it’s the first time they’ve included NFTs or the Metaverse in their show.
Throughout the show, the rap duo performs straight from the metaverse as they perform as their very own BAYC avatars. This represents a crossover between the virtual and physical world. 22
About ‘From the D 2 de LBC’
‘From the D 2 the LBC’ is a song by Eminem and Snoop Dogg that was released in June of this year. Until now, on YouTube, the video clip which was posted on Eminem’s channel has received over 47 million views and 2 million likes.
In the video, Mathers III (Eminem) and Broadus Jr. (Snoop Dogg) portrayed in parts as their real selves. As well as parts like their Bored Ape Yacht Club counterparts in intricate animations.
Also, the song will be seen by more people as the duo will perform it at MTV’s VMAs.
To clarify, Eminem first purchased his Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT in January of this year, purchasing #9055 for 123.45 ETH or $460,000 at the time. It has since been nicknamed ‘EminApe’.
In fact, Snoop Dogg came in a bit earlier, back in December last year, and has been more involved in the NFT space ever since. His first purchase was the Bored Ape #6723, which he bought through a deal MoonPaywho have also been involved in many celebrity NFT transactions.
