The launch of “The Workshop” was announced by Greg Solano, CEO of Yuga Labs, in a bold move that heralded a new era for the company. The mission of this division is to create groundbreaking ApeChain products. Additionally, this move is part of the company’s goal to learn from Coinbase’s Base chain and move toward more aggressive on-chain development.
Using social networking platform X, Solano explained the concept of The Workshop, highlighting that it consists of thirteen of the most talented engineers and product developers within the organization. The group’s mission is to build the crypto community’s trust in decentralized apps (dApps) by developing innovative content, tools and infrastructure.
Maintaining the agility that defined the early days
Moreover, Solano made it clear: in the cutthroat cryptocurrency market, Yuga Labs plans to differentiate itself by quickly delivering innovative on-chain products. In addition, Solano pointed to Coinbase’s recent decision to fully commit to its Base chain as an example of the creative and focused approach he hopes to see implemented at the company.
The CEO emphasized the need for rapid development of “delicious” products in the chain. He drew attention to the possibility that the organization could differentiate itself from rivals by focusing on new primitives and protocols.
Not every concept that came out of The Workshop would be a huge success, the CEO admitted. Nevertheless, he emphasized the need for a commitment to rapid iteration. Additionally, he emphasized the need to maintain the agility that defined the early days of Yuga Labs.
Launching The Workshop’s first wave of products on ApeChain in the coming weeks will be a major milestone towards the highly anticipated mainnet release.
