- World Mobile Token has integrated Chainlink’s CCIP to enable secure cross-chain token exchanges and staking.
- The integration increases security and allows users to bet on one blockchain and receive rewards on another.
World Mobile Token has integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to improve cross-chain token exchanges and staking. This integration enables interoperability with numerous blockchains, such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and Arbitrum, allowing transactions to flow seamlessly across the platforms.
This partnership allows World Mobile to offer secure and convenient cross-chain services by relying on CCIP’s robust security. Chainlink has officially confirmed the integration on the X account, underscoring the importance of collaboration for both parties.

Chainlink’s CCIP provides enhanced messaging that simplifies the cross-chain communication process. This feature allows the World Mobile Token (WMT) network to make staking on different blockchains easy. You can stake tokens on a specific chain and get the rewards on another chain, which not only increases the usability of the network but also its capabilities.
World Mobile chose Chainlink’s CCIP because of its reliability within the Web3 environment. One of the key drivers of the partnership is CCIP’s Risk Management Network, which continuously monitors cross-chain activities for potential security threats. Given the risks historically associated with cross-chain operations, this additional layer of security is critical.
CCIP integration brings new features to the World Mobile Ecosystem
With the integration of Chainlink’s CCIP, the World Mobile ecosystem will be equipped with the following features. This allows World Mobile to control the token transfer through the controlled token pool contract with the CCIP Token Transfer solution. This ensures that tokens are easily minted, locked and burned, increasing the security of the transactions.
Additionally, CCIP supports programmable token transfers, allowing developers to work with tokens with data in parallel. This feature improves the development process and in turn improves the features of the World Mobile network.
World Mobile’s decision to integrate Chainlink CCIP is also driven by its future-proof capabilities. This protocol was developed to enable constant updates and add new features based on blockchain technology without making expensive changes to the system. This makes CCIP a scalable and efficient model for future development.
This integration is in line with World Mobile’s vision to transform the telecom industry using decentralized mobile networks. By focusing on underserved communities, World Mobile aims to provide affordable and high-quality connectivity using blockchain technology and shared economy principles.
World Mobile CEO Micky Watkins highlighted the importance of CCIP in securing the company’s ecosystem, emphasizing that it enables staking across multiple blockchains without endangering safety. This development opens up new opportunities to expand the platform’s offering and increase user engagement.
Additionally, World Mobile recently launched its blockchain infrastructure on Base. This launch integrates World Mobile’s communications-focused Layer 3 blockchain, the World Mobile Chain (WMC), with Base’s Ethereum-based Layer 2 blockchain, using Base as the settlement layer. Chainlink’s native token LINK is at $10.7, down 3% in the past 24 hours, with a market cap of $6.7 billion.
