TL;DR
-
Music NFTs are not for everyone. Hell, they’re not even for that most people. No. Music NFTs are for super fans.
-
And the Grammy award-winning electronic musician, André “RAC” Anjos’ latest NFT announcement, is a perfect example of that.
-
His CULT pass NFT acts as a membership pass (users buy the NFT and get perks in return). Nothing we haven’t seen before.
-
Where RAC’s NFTs differ from the rest is this: the NFT itself changes depending on what the owner has in their wallet.
-
Giving Superfans a unique piece of art inspired by the other creative work they’ve collected, which also gives them access to a tight-knit community of like-minded people.

No. Music NFTs are for super fans.

Here’s the basic idea:
The CULT pass NFT acts as a membership pass (users purchase the NFT and receive perks for doing so). Nothing we haven’t seen before.
Where RAC’s NFTs differ from the rest is this:
The NFT itself changes depending on what the owner has in their wallet.
Here’s our understanding of how it works:
The CULT pass NFT generates a list of keywords based on the other NFTs/tokens purchased by the owner, feeds them to an AI image generator and creates an image unique to the owner.
… ok, so it’s like an ‘NFT mood ring’? Who cares?
Superfans.
Where most people see an overpriced digital mood ring, superfans see this:
A unique piece of art inspired by the other creative work they have collected, also giving them access to a tight-knit community of like-minded people.
We may not be the target audience, but we get it!
Well done, RAK.
