Today we have two points to make.
And only two points.
First things first: the good people of the crypto media world seem to forget that we are supposed to bring people on board, NOT drive them away.
LOOK HOW MUCH MUMBO JUMBO IS IN THIS CUP:
“Ethereum’s Dencun Upgrade Hits Final ‘Holesky’ Testnet and Begins Countdown to Data ‘Blobs’”
Sincerely asking: what does that actually mean?!
(We’re glad we asked).
Here’s point #2: what that all means ☝️
The ‘Holesky’ testnet is a blockchain made for test simulations, where new features can be active without being public yet (kind of like those beta iOS updates that tech nerds get on their iPhones before everyone else).
Blockchain upgrades go to testnet to ensure there are no bugs and that all features work as advertised.
The upgrade they were testing in this case?
Ethereum’s ‘Dencun’ upgrade – which introduces ‘blobs’ (?).
That’s just a crazy name for a new (cheaper) method of storing data on Ethereum.
Noise.
