Milady and the surrounding ecosystem come from an NFT community, has become one of the culturally important groups in Ethereum And crypto as a whole.
Over the years, remarkable figures have joined the community, including people such as Elon Musk and Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Known for its edgy humor, layers of irony and cult-like mentality, the Milady community has many attempts to decipher what the hell is going on in his self-referential world. On its most broad, the community includes several NFT collections, meme coins, global raves, a Minecraft server and long philosophical texts.
This has led many, including people like Alt-Reste political commentator Nicholas Fuentes, to try to make contact with the community, only to get lost in a maelstrom of memes.
However, don’t worry – over the years we have become experts on this subject. This is what you need to know.
What is Milady?
Milady (also called Milady Maker) is an NFT collection made by the Remilia Corporation in August 2021. The profile photos contain cute Chibi Anime style characters with huge shiny eyes, each with an individual “drip” score and number. It is believed that the Milady character was inspired by Hororo from the Anime series “Bottle Fairy”.
While Milady is a profile photo NFT project, the Milady Ethos rejects much of what can be expected from this sector. To start, to be a Milady, you don’t have to NFT– Just change your profile photo on X (previously known as Twitter), so that the meme is called that simply changes your profile photo to a Milady, will change your life.
Remilia as an ecosystem also includes a quarterly magazine, other derivative NFT projects such as Remilio Babies, a record label and more. Although not technically under the umbrella of Milady, much of the Remilia ecosystem overlaps with the Milady NFT community – both through its members and the cultural approach.
Moreover, there is a Milady Minecraft -Speller server – called MiladyCraft – that acts as a social hub for his community members, as well as a well -thought -out artwork about the state of modern gaming and society.
In December 2024, the Milady Cult Coin (Cult) on Ethereum was launched as the official token for the project – after many related tokens were launched but never officially approved.
This came after six months after a presale that the leaders and members of the project are tringling as scam. This was done by spamming “don’t worry about it” to anyone who asked what happened, followed by a stream of fried ai-generated memes.
But really, Milady is a mentality and a philosophical view of life. Much of the Milady ethos comes from the writings of Charlotte Fang, the founder of Remilia Corporation.
Who is Charlotte Fang?
Charlotte Fang is the pseudonym founder and CEO of Remilia Corporation and in turn the leader of the Milady Cult. Fang usually goes by he/him pronouns, but told Decrypt That she/her can be used, depending on the ‘atmosphere’ that you feel.
A series of blog posts on Mirror.xyz has offered readers a look at the philosophical and sociological views of the controversial founder.
A fundamental concept for Fang and the broader Milady community is ‘network spirituality’, which broadly refers to the cultural connections embedded via internet memes and references – involving the embrace of the digital self.
In another blog post entitled ‘The Annuled Will inherit the Earth’, Fang philosophizes about the current state of cancellation culture. He claims that there will soon be a time in which every person with a remarkable supporters will have been canceled in one way or another, which leads to the canceled acquisition of culture.
As such, Fang argues the case for the “in advance” self “, for example by deliberately saying that this is” punk “. This can explain some of the controversial things that Fang and Milady members have said online. As a result, Fang has become one of the most polarizing founders in Cryptse -who was further aggravated from 2022.
The Miya -controverse
In 2022, the co-founder of Defi Lama, 0xngmi, exposed Fang as alt-right extremist content under the pseudonym Miya. 0xngmi claims that Fang placed racist and homophobic content under the Miya -Persudonym, as well as inappropriate relationships with minors suffering from eating disorders.

In the beginning, Fang tried to distance themselves from Miya, but eventually stuck and admitted his involvement. In an X post he said that his real views “have no room for hatred” and that he abuses abusers and trimmers.
Fang explained in a blog post that he had the account with other contributors between 2019 and 2020 as a ‘performative identity’, which disguised himself as an AI writing from a ‘post-human “world with a’ schizotheory ‘writing style. With this, Fang and the other Miya employees had a “taste for entering into problematic content” that explore fringe ideologies to their “logical conclusions as a form of critical satire.”
Thought trying to take a distance, would help, but not to stay around the pussyfoot around it. Inaccurate, my real views have no room for hatred, and I have a hang of abusers and groomers – it was youth, but in reality I never damaged a fly.

Miya has now become a different pillar of the Milady survival, in which Cult members embrace the controversy and impact instead of ignoring its relevance. In many ways, the industrial cancellation of Fang and the Milady project as a result of the Miya-Controverse only led Fang followers to lean further in the Milady philosophy.
“Woke censorship had his run and made for terrible culture until the end of the years 2010, but the undercurrent of revolutionary irary will always be cooler than to normalize the back pressure,” Fang wrote almost a year later in a blog post. “Consider how the first thought someone who hears about Miya who is a literal Nazi -anorexia cult leader is: cool.”

Despite the controversy and wider fall of the NFT market, Milady remains culturally relevant in the crypto space. In 2023, the founder of Tesla Elon Musk placed a Milady -Meme, which caused the price of his price. In 2025, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin attracted a Milady profile photo in what many believed that he was an atmosphere shift when he entered ‘war mode’.
Milady is confusing, controversial and bizarre – but it is not something you can ignore.
