Is it just us…
Or is the sentiment around the metaverse/metaverse related products positive for the first time in a long time?
Think about it…
Zuck just got the Quest 3 VR headsetin addition to the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and the general reaction of the public/wider sector not been negative.
…in fact it is… dare we say it? – extremely positive so far.
Add to that:
-
The fact that the internet seemed really impressed by the 3D avatars featured in Zuck’s last appearance on the Lex Fridman Podcast.
-
Googling is still investing in blockchain infrastructure specifically designed to support/scale metaverse projects.
-
While Apple is getting rave reviews from tech journalists for its ‘laptop on your face’ headset (which isn’t even for sale yet).
Combine all of these together and it starts to feel like the metaverse is regaining its positive public perception.
…or maybe we’re way too close to tell, and we need to touch some grass.
Who knows, but we’ll take it.
