Blockchain
Venom Blockchain, a Layer-1 blockchain operating within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), today announced the official launch of its public testnet, marking a remarkable achievement in the platform’s roadmap as it approaches its mainnet launch. In addition to the testnet debut, Venom also unveiled a suite of internally developed decentralized applications (dApps) to bolster its growing ecosystem.
The testnet design is tailored to both ecosystem users and developers, providing an ideal environment for developers to test and debug their dApps and blockchain protocols, while also giving users the chance to try these dApps for themselves. The goal of this program is to promote innovation and facilitate community building within the ecosystem.
First-hand experience developing innovative dApps
In just a few simple steps, both users and developers can get a feel for the testnet. To get started, you need to download the Venom Wallet to your mobile device from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, or to your desktop computer using the Google Chrome extension. Second, users can get a head start on evaluating the Venom ecosystem by claiming a free allocation on the testnet.
Peter Knez, Chairman of the Venom Foundation Council, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of the Venom public testnet, a critical step towards our upcoming mainnet launch. With our highly scalable and reliable asynchronous blockchain, we are confident that developers can build innovative dApps while users can experience them firsthand.”
With its impressive 100k TPS speed and dynamic sharding feature that improves scalability and network reliability, developers can experiment with building on the asynchronous Venom blockchain. To make this happen, Venom has put together a repository of developer documentation to provide developers with the necessary tools and information to start building. In addition, the interoperability of the network makes it an attractive option for developers, while the low transaction costs make it easy to use for global adoption.
A plethora of dApps debut on the Testnet
On the Venom testnet, a number of dApps are scheduled to make their debut. Users can test them by making trades, evaluating the native Venom wallet, and much more. These include Venom Wallet, Venom Scan, VenomPools, Venom Bridge, Venom Stake, Web3.World, WeUp, NFT Mint, and Oasis.Gallery.
Under the jurisdiction of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Venom Foundation is licensed to facilitate the acceleration of global Web3 projects. As a decentralized network, Venom operates in accordance with the ADGM, which serves as a hub for investors and financial service providers. This makes Venom the world’s first compliant blockchain, giving authorities and enterprises the freedom to build, innovate and scale their operations.
Numerous companies have developed a range of internal dApps and protocols on the Venom blockchain. With dynamic sharding, low cost, ultra-fast speed and scalability, Venom has the potential to serve as the primary infrastructure for a global ecosystem of Web3 applications, providing ultra-fast transaction speeds and unlimited scalability to accommodate the growing user base.
