VARA Network, the original standalone L1 decentralized network operating under the Gear Protocol, has unveiled another major development. The platform has enthusiastically reported the release of its latest v1.1.1 governance proposal and its subsequent acceptance by community members. In a recent blog post on Medium, it was revealed that the proposal includes several exclusive updates.
V1.1.1 Management proposal of VARA network receives approval from the community
It added that the respective updates focus on improving the consumer experience and the entire ecosystem in general. After the effective testing on the v1.1.1 tag, the network made a proposal that would include the required updates. The proposal took into account the upgrade of the crates to v1.1.1, along with some other issues.
The updates additionally include adjusting the weights of WASM and extrinsic calls to improve overall efficiency. In addition, they also include a unique test operation, along with a CLI utility called ‘gring’. The introduction of these things emphasizes strengthening the customer experience and testing capabilities.
Community members voted and authorized the updates through a board proposal. It had a support of up to ≈238.15 million VARA. The upgrade activation occurred at block “9,876,543.” This ensures that the latest version is integrated into the main network in an unprecedented way. The proposal covering release v1.1.1 requires substantial improvements for DeFi enthusiasts. With this advancement, VARA Network is making progress in its mission to change the Web3 paradigm.
The latest updates in the proposal are aimed at improving the user experience
This includes updates such as customizing crate versions, including a test operation in gtest, as well as the implementation of “gring” (a CLI utility) for an improved user experience. In addition, bug fixes and additional features, such as voucher rejection, aim to improve the flexibility and stability of the network. The network takes mainstream adoption into account in such developments.
