We are pleased to report that our unstoppabledomains.com website and @unstoppabledomains.com communications are secure and fully operational.
What happened:
Last week, our DNS provider, Squarespace, experienced a compromise due to the Google Domains migration, impacting many businesses. This issue was isolated to the DNS settings (such as our domain name and email DNS records) on Squarespace and did not affect Unstoppable Domains’ core services. Importantly, our backend services, smart contracts and critical infrastructure remained unaffected, ensuring your data remains completely secure. There have been no user data breaches or account compromises, reaffirming our commitment to your security.

Safety measures implemented:
When Squarespace suffered a security hack, we took immediate and comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of our users. We have placed Unstoppabledomains.com in maintenance mode to perform thorough security checks.
In addition, we were actively involved in a Telegram community together with others affected, providing support and sharing insights to help everyone affected.
Our dedicated team worked tirelessly on the assessment and because our backend was completely secure, no data was compromised and our users’ data remained safe.
Additionally, out of an abundance of caution, we have reached out to partners who sell our domains to rotate API keys.
We move our .Com to Unstoppable as registrar:
Traditional DNS registrars like Squarespace could face security challenges if the provider is compromised. After we complete ICANN approval for our own registrar license, we plan to transfer and tokenize unstoppabledomains.com within our own system. This means that we are no longer dependent on external suppliers. We expect this transition to take place in the coming month.
Like any other domain purchased from Unstoppable Domains, once unstoppabledomains.com is tokenized and onchain, any changes to DNS records or domain transfers will require a wallet signature. This will make our domain more secure, functional and protected against attacks than ever before.
What action to take:
No action is required from you at this time. However, as a best practice to improve account security, we recommend that everyone enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
To further secure your online presence, consider purchasing your .com domains through Unstoppable in the future. Tokenizing your domains with us can provide an additional layer of security and reliability, helping you avoid similar issues and ensure your domains are better protected.
