The rally in the altcoin market has been the topic of conversation crypto community lately, and for good reason. Amid this rapid rise of cryptocurrencies across the board, meme coins are doing well. But as with any asset class, there are some that have outperformed others.
CorgiAI (CORGIAI) leads gains in meme coins
CorgiAI (CORGIAI) is an interesting take on the Dog meme coins. But instead of using the widely popular Shiba Inu breed, the project chose the Corgi breed for their purposes and this seems to be working well. Over the past day, CorgiAI has dominated gains in meme coins, up more than 56% in this time.
The numbers on the 7-day chart are even more impressive, as data from CoinGecko shows that the value rose $86.8 in just seven days. CorgiAI is now the eleventh largest meme coin in space after its market cap surpassed $36.29 million.
Bonk (BONK): The Solana Altcoin is making waves
The resident of Solana Bonk (BONK) Coin is one of the top meme coins after a huge run earlier in 2023. In the current ‘altcoin season’ it has performed very well, up 29% in one day. The seven-day gain is closest to CorgiAI at 76.7%.
On the shorter time frame, i.e. the 1 hour chart, BONK even performs better the rest of the meme coins. At the time of writing, the price has already risen 11.3% in the last hour. This could indicate a further run for the meme con in the near future.
HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu (ETH) BITCOIN
This meme coin is an embodiment of the most ridiculous parts of crypto and how anything can go up in the market. The coin, which is the combination of widely recognized names in pop culture, politics and crypto, started to rise a few months ago and gained a healthy following in the process.
It moved so quickly that it is now one of the biggest meme coins in the space, up 19% on the last day alone. Despite a loss of 2.5% on the weekly chart, its market cap is still $137.76 million, making it the seventh largest meme coin by market cap.
Dogelon Mars (ELON) maintains prominence among meme coins
Named after two of the most recognizable names when it comes to meme coins (Elon Musk and Dogecoin), this meme coin has endured even through the worst bear trends, and now continues to show strength.
Coming in just behind HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu (ETH) BITCOIN, ELON has recorded daily gains of 16.7%, with weekly gains of 14.4%. It currently holds the 8th position among the largest meme coins in the space.

Memecoin (MEME): New Kid On The Block
Fifth on this list is the newly released Memecoin (MEME). This meme coin was developed by the 9Gag team and initially saw a retracement on its launch profits. However, the tide is starting to turn as MEME’s 24-hour gain rises to 16.4%.
Since this is a new meme coin, there are currently no weekly figures. However, like BONK, the meme coin is performing well on the hourly chart, having risen 7.6% in the past hour at the time of writing.
The best meme coins didn’t make the list
The best meme coins in the space, including Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB)And Pepe (PEPE), did not make the list of outperformers. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t do a good job. As data from CoinGecko shows, all three of these cryptocurrencies are up at least 4% in the past day.
DOGE has seen the lowest gains of the trio during this period with gains of 4%. In the meantime, Shiba Inu is at a higher level with a gain of 5.3%. PEPE performing best yet after surging 13.1% to regain the $0.0000013 level.
