zkEVM network Scroll reached a major milestone on October 29, surpassing 200,000 transactions in a single day. This achievement coincided with a record high of 86,636 new addresses created in a single day. Scroll, a new player in the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) sector, previously registered more than $15 million in Total Value Locked (TVL) in less than a week after launching its mainnet.
Scroll Daily Transactions Surge
According to data from Scrollscan, the number of daily transactions on the Scroll network rose to a new high of 202,711 on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Equally impressive is the spike in the number of new addresses, with 86,636 unique addresses registered on the same day.

What could be causing the unprecedented increase in activity on Scroll?
A potential catalyst fueling this wave is the recent introduction of the Scroll Origin NFT, a non-transferable soul-bound NFT. On October 27, Scroll unveiled a commemorative NFT known as “Scroll Origins” to celebrate its early builders.

This unique NFT has a Scroll-themed background and records metadata such as the initial deployment date, the order of deployment, the deployment address, and the initial deployed hash of the contract transaction. Scroll is particularly planning extra surprises for builders who use exceptional contracts on the Mainnet.
“We see the Scroll Origins NFT as a symbol of recognition for the early builders of Scroll, a link that connects the Scroll community, and a reminder of what is possible when we build and collaborate together,” Scroll said.
NFT eligibility
The Scroll Origins NFT program offers three types of NFTs based on the timing of smart contract implementation within the first 60 days of the Genesis block which occurred on October 10, 2023 at 6:00 AM GMT.
- Quintisch: For users deploying within the first 30 days of the Genesis block (before November 9, 2023).
- Quarter: For users deploying between days 30 and 45 of the Genesis Block (before November 24, 2023).
- Cubic: For users deploying between days 45 and 60 of the Genesis block (before December 9, 2023).
Eligible users can claim the Scroll Origins NFT from December 14, 2023 at 10:00 PM GMT on the Scroll website.
