The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announces four round table events in 2025 for its task force to discuss the industry of the digital assets.
According to a new press release, the regulatory body is planning to add four round table discussions about Crypto assets and how they are regulated to the event calendar.
The discussions, which will take place between April and June, will clarify the law with regard to crypto-right, real-world assets-tokenization and decentralized finances (Defi).
Says Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, head of the Crypto Task Force,
“The Crypto Task Force Roundtables are an opportunity for us to hear a lively discussion among experts about what the regulations problems are and what the committee can do to resolve them.”
The Crypto Task Force of the SEC was launched earlier this year by Mark Uyeda, the acting chairman of the agency. It brings together supervisors, lawyers and crypto leaders to discuss the correct actions of action in terms of regulating crypto activa.
Earlier this week, Peirce, an old proponent of digital assets, said that the crypto task force will be a makeover of the SEC approach to regulate cryptocurrencies.
“The formation of the Crypto Task Force gave permission to the staff in the building to seriously work on a workable framework for crypto regulations, and the staff responded with tangible enthusiasm …
People have spoken, thinking and writing about the problems with which we are now struggling. With the Roundtable series we can enable the problems to explore. “
