The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is ready to reset her relationship with the crypto industry, according to Commissioner Hester Peirce.
The new “Crypto Task Force” of the SEC kept his inaugural round table event on Friday, which brought together supervisors, lawyers in the private sector and executives of digital assets.
During the event, Peirce, an old Crypto lawyer, spoke about “a restart of the approach of the Crypto Regulation Commission.”
“The formation of the crypto task force gave the staff in the building to seriously work on a workable framework for crypto regulation, and the staff has responded with tangible enthusiasm. The enthusiasm in this room is also felt, so let’s take the moment and have a useful conversation today and have a useful conversation today.
This room is full of people – on the panel, on the Crypto Task Force, on the staff of the committee and in the public – who are ready for [the] Sprint ahead. People have spoken, thinking and writing about the problems with which we are now struggling. With the Roundtable series we can enable the problems to explore. “
Peirce leads the crypto Task Force, which was launched in January. The Commissioner said last month that the team is currently working on questions with regard to security status, public offers, custody and secondary market trade of crypto activa.
