RWA app recently integrated with Near, an innovative layer 1 blockchain. With this new integration, RWA’s database now tracks more than $630 million worth of tokenized treasuries and stablecoins on the network. Near Protocol is a layer-1 blockchain network that provides developers with a platform to build decentralized applications. It is faster and cheaper than Ethereum, and is said to be faster than some of its biggest competitors.
When fully completed, Near is estimated to be able to process up to 100,000 transactions per second (TPS). It allows users and developers to interact with multiple ecosystems from a single account. RWA App provides an application that allows users to access all tokenized assets of the real world in one place.
Real-world assets (RWAs) are a class of crypto tokens that represent tangible assets outside the digital spectrum. Using risk-weighted assets, these assets can find a place in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, helping to increase the availability of financial instruments that are typically difficult to obtain and opening up new application possibilities. Near Protocol is one of the most notable blockchains as measured by the growth of tokenized assets, as evidenced by its current TVL, which represents a significant increase from $54 million in early 2024.
