Pudgy Penguins are one of the rare ones NFT collections that actually grew in value and fame during the prolonged bear market, and recently launched toys aimed at the mainstream audience. The brand has now released an exclusive ‘influencer box’ of toys and collectibles available today only through Walmart.com for Cyber Monday.
The Pudgy Penguins white celebrity boxas described on Walmart’s website, includes a 12-inch plush, an action figure, a smaller clip-on plush, an igloo toy, and a certificate that allows buyers to claim a free NFT (minted on zkSync Era) for the Pudgy World gaming platform.
Walmart will sell the “influencer box bundle,” like Pudgy Penguins mentioned it on Twitter, Cyber Monday only for $25. It’s listed as half the list price, which may reflect the combined price of the included items. For example, the 12-inch plush toys typically only sell for $20 to $25 each.
Pudgy Penguins unveiled its plush line in September in partnership with Walmart, where the cartoonish toys could be found in more than 2,000 stores across the United States. This was said by Walmart Vice President Brittany Smith in the US a press release at a time when the project “bridges the gap between our physical and digital play world for children in a very exciting way.”
This Cyber Monday we teamed up with @Walmart to release our influencer box bundle exclusively on their website.

The original Ethereum profile picture (PFP) project launched in 2021 as the NFT craze took off, partially propelled by a prominent one New York Times story about the collection. But in early 2022, with the community in disarray and collectors demanding a change in leadership, the owners sold the IP to serial entrepreneur Luca Netz for $2.5 million.
Since then, Netz and his team have significantly expanded the project’s profile, building a following of more than a million Instagram followers while launching toy lines and other products. Earlier this year, Pudgy Penguins has raised $9 million in funding to fuel their expansion plans.
Pudgy Penguins survived the NFT crash and have now raised $9 million
Pudgy Penguins recently released a always high starting price of over $13,000 worth of ETH – more than seven times the value of the collectibles shortly before Netz took over in April 2022. It is one of the few NFT projects to have grown significantly in USD value since the NFT market in May 2022 collapsed.
