This single token list makes bridging tokens between Ethereum and multiple OP chains easier, as well as token discovery and maintenance.
Introducing the Superchain Token List, a unified token list for the Optimism ecosystem!
We developed this list with our partners @BuildOnBase to make bridging tokens between @Ethereum and different OP chains easier. Full details: https://t.co/ZplATPLlFg

The procedure of this feature is as follows: Developers can place a PR (Pull Request) in the Superchain Token List Github library and any token added to the list will be automatically validated based on the data provided by the requester .
During this process, Optimist will validate the token’s metadata and ensure that the asset can use the default bridge. The creation and issuance of tokens is also automated. When a token is added to the token list repository, it is immediately added to the Hyperchain token list.
This development and release procedure also uses automation. When a token is added to the token list repo, it is immediately added to the Superchain token list. The Superchain token list is now available as an npm package that can be imported directly into your application, removing the requirement for an RPC trigger to get the token list.
The Optimist Collective envisions the Superchain as a horizontally scalable network of chains that share security, a communications layer, and an open-source development stack. This permissionless system allows new chains to be built on a shared network, promoting scalability, creative apps, and a revenue model that rewards app and protocol developers for their efforts.
In February, Optimist announced the creation of “Superchain”, a unified chain network that can be viewed as a “chain platform” that unites numerous previously separate L2 chains into an interoperable and composable system. The goal is to make launching L2 as easy as it is today to deploy smart contracts on Ethereum. A partnership with Coinbase on Base is also in the works.
