TL;DR
-
An artist named Trevor Jones made a free to collect NFT, to pay tribute to the coronation of King Charles – and 20,000 of them were minted (!?)
-
Each NFT gave the holder a chance to win one of 444 signed limited edition physical prints of Jones.

An artist named Trevor Jones made a free to collect NFT, to pay tribute to the coronation of King Charles.
…and 20,000 were beaten!?
Free or not, getting 20,000 people to take action is no small feat.
NFTs + the Royal Family?
Honestly, when we first heard about the project, we didn’t see the two interests aligned…
But here we are.
Perhaps it was the chance to win one of 444 signed limited edition physical prints, from Jones, that did?
Maybe it was because of Jones’ last release,’Bitcoin angel,” set a record for the most expensive open-edition NFT artwork, with sales of $4 million in just seven minutes?
Or maybe NFT swordsmen have a secret love for Netflix’s’The crown‘?
We do not know.
