NFT
y00ts and DeGods are making huge strides in the market with back-to-back integrations. The NFT Community and Collection recently announced that they are joining forces with Polygon and Ethereum.
For example, users can now enjoy non-custodial staking for both y00ts on Polygon and DeGods on Ethereum. y00ts released an official range of tweet to inform users of the announcement. The tweets stated that striking without deprivation of liberty would impose some jurisdictions, including:
- Users can keep the NFTs in their wallets, but remain frozen by the contract.
- NFT cannot be traded or transferred without being thawed or destacked.
- Token-gated apps and experiences will work (e.g. Twitter’s hexagon pfps).
- Users can get more accurate data through on-chain holders.
- Users are advised to use y00ts.com/staking and degods.com/staking for staking purposes.
Last month, y00ts has officially started migrating to Polygon. y00ts also informed users about the process of accessing non-custodial strike. Users just need to disconnect and redeploy their NFTs, spending some MATIC gas in the process. The NFT community waives the DUST unstaking and staking fees for one week. Users must start paying the fees from May 4.
On the other hand, DeGod also shared a list of instructions for users. According to the NFT Collection, there will be no meaningful changes to DeStake other than the non-custodial aspect. It just means that the staked y00ts and DeGods stay in users’ wallets while earning points upon staking.
The process to access non-custodial strike for DeGods is identical to y00ts. Users only need to disconnect and redeploy their NFTs. The only difference is that this process costs them gas fees in ETH instead of MATIC.
NFT users across the industry have welcomed the development and look forward to using it for better returns.
