In early June, ZachXBT revealed on Twitter that the NFT project claimed to be a P2E game with lots of gifting, reproduction, travel, and other possibilities. But the team hasn’t produced anything for the past five months.
In March, 100 holders would receive Jordan sneakers, 100 holders would receive off-white shirts, and 50 holders would receive Supreme shirts. The distance from the project team increased after launch and they started updating less frequently. Promised clothing shipments were never delivered. Animoon sold 9,999 NFTs at an average of 0.2 ETH each with a huge price as bait and paid no products to the buyers.
Animoon claims to have signed a non-disclosure agreement with Pokémon, but this is actually plagiarism. Immediately after the NFT was published, employees began working remotely, making announcements or appearing in chat every 3-4 weeks.
The company updated it in April so that Legendary holders now earn a percentage of the P2E game’s money. According to ZachXBT, this change was never approved by the legendary holders they scammed. He discovered that @maximadam_ and @marc_blata were the names of the two founders of Animoon (not their real names). Maxim’s biography states that he is an “NFT specialist since 2013”. Both have Instagram photos of themselves bowing in Dubai, said ZachXBT.
Meanwhile, profits of $6.3 million have been transferred to Binance and Kucoin trading accounts. Animoon’s Twitter account is currently blocked, the website is offline, and Discord’s general chat is disabled.
