Full story
There is one person in everyone’s life where their approval means the most.
And that should be the case work before.
In the art world that is the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
Sure, they can push the boundaries, but! Their adoption of new pieces will not be based solely on popular demand.
(We say that to add some extra weight to what we’re about to say…)
MoMA has acquired two (two!!) digital pieces for their permanent collection: ‘Unsupervised – Machine Hallucinations’ by Refik Anadol and ‘3FACE’ by Ian Cheng.
Sure, MoMA has dabbled in NFTs, AI, and tokenized art in the past, but now it’s fully embracing it.
Cool, so why do we care?
Even if you are not an art lover, this is positive for all types of people because:
Legitimacy leads to adoption → adoption leads to higher market values → higher market values lead to investments → investments lead to innovation.
(It’s a beautiful cycle 🥲).
If anyone needs us, we’ll be at MoMA NFT Postcard Exhibition.
