Meta-Stadiums, a platform that bridges entertainment, gaming metaverse and NFTs, has collaborated with AI metaverse company Meet Kai to create a ‘first-class football universe’. Working with a FIFA-licensed Match Agent, Meta-Stadium will bring a new level of excitement to football fans by creating a virtual space to watch games featuring select, as-yet unnamed professional clubs and FIFA teams.
The improved viewing experience of Meta-Stadion
The alliance leverages MeetKai’s metaverse interface, allowing fans to experience a virtual, lifelike stadium district as 3D avatars. Whether through VR headsets, mobile devices or desktop web browsers, Meta-Stadium hopes to provide a global hub where fans can watch matches, shop, participate in games and navigate the stadium from the comfort of their home.
Meta Stadium aims to change the typical approach to watching football by offering fans the opportunity to watch live virtual matches featuring 137 leading FIFA teams in a variety of virtual seats ranging from press boxes to luxurious VIP skyboxes. In addition to the more than 150 live games, the platform aims to satisfy the hunger of every football fan by providing access to an archive of more than 5,000 matches.
Trend towards futuristic fan interaction
Meta-Stadium plans to expand its interactive features and will leverage MeetKai’s AI capabilities. These features allow fans to purchase virtual merchandise, with physical delivery to their homes. Additionally, the introduction of gamification aspects and competitions adds an extra level of entertainment to the experience.
Highlighting the importance of their latest venture with Meta-Stadiums Corp, Weili Dai, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of MeetKai, said: “At MeetKai, we are at the forefront of AI and metaverse technology, joining forces with entertainment pioneer Meta-Stadiums Corp. Stadiums Corp to create the first-ever football Meta-Stadium is a remarkable step towards the evolution of sports entertainment in the digital age.” Dai further expressed his excitement about the project’s global reach: “We’re excited to invite football fans around the world to experience the MeetKai Metaverse’s first FIFA football experience, all from their browser.”
Additionally, another platform element will be NFT integration, allowing fans to collect digital souvenirs related to each game. Meta-Stadium aims to provide flexible access paths and offers users the freedom to enter the stadium as guests. Alternatively, they can dive deeper into the immersive experience through a subscription model.
Watching live matches in varied virtual environments and participating in a virtual world showcases the potential of the metaverse in sports. Additionally, it offers a glimpse into what future sporting events could look like, making them more accessible and interactive. Therefore, this shift in sports entertainment, driven by advances in AI and metaverse technology, could change the way global audiences connect with their favorite sports in the coming years.
