Mantle, an Ethereum L2 scaling solution, recently unveiled a major development in collaboration with Succinct Labs. It is integrated with Succinct’s SP1 and this move has made it the largest ZK rollup. This underlines its commitment to providing advanced scalability, capital efficiency and security at an institutional level. The platform revealed this development in a recent X-post.
With SP1 we become the world’s largest ZK rollup.

Mantle integrates Succinct’s SP1 to achieve transaction finality within 1 hour
Mantle has pointed out in his contribution that the inclusion of SP1 marks a crucial transition from the current optimistic summation to a summation of the validity of zero knowledge. This upgrade also significantly increases the network’s ability to achieve chain finality in just 1 hour. This represents a 168x improvement over current bridging capabilities.
The platform claimed that the 1-hour withdrawals place Mantle Network significantly closer in cost to the well-known Ethereum L1. In addition, the platform also benefits from fewer slippages, improved money markets and better diversification of the swap markets. Other benefits include greater asset availability and higher interest rates.
Additionally, Mantle said the integration of the modular architecture, ZK proofs via SP1, and data availability enabled by EigenDA lead to an unparalleled liquidity chain. This would reportedly accommodate the arrangement at the institutional level, along with value transactions within the crypto sector.
The integration enables cost efficiency, EVM equivalence and rapid finality
For a better understanding, you should remember that Succinct’s SP1 offers several advanced features to facilitate users and developers. These salient features take into account fast finality, cost efficiency, multi-chain future, and EVM equivalence. In this regard, the integration of the SP1 enables 1-hour transaction finality with unparalleled withdrawals and an enhanced consumer experience.
Furthermore, full compatibility with EVM bytecode ensures that developers can easily implement existing tools and smart contracts. In addition, the prover-fee integration enables enormous cost efficiency. Apart from that, the integration matches Ethereum’s security parameters. SP1 also supports cross-rollup interoperability, leading to interconnected ecosystems.
The Endeavor puts Mantle on par with Ethereum in terms of scalability and decentralization
The integration of the SP1 involves much more than just improving technical statistics. Therefore, it provides the foundation for a relatively interconnected and unified Ethereum ecosystem. Additionally, builders developing on Mantle have the advantage of cryptographic trust and utilizing the modularity of ZK rollups. According to Mantle, Succinct’s SP1 strengthens alignment with Ethereum’s scalability goals and decentralized security.
