- Light V3, the zkLayer is now live on Solana.
- Private Solana Programs (PSP) is ready to go.
The Light Protocol team has finally enabled the Light V3, the very first zero-knowledge Layer (zkLayer) on Solana, the blockchain platform. It is called PSP (Private Solana Programs).
The launch took place today after several months of building the next generation Light Protocol. This supports the developers to build anything using the Solano blockchain. For example, faster and more effective private payments, order booking with encryption and public on-chain games with the private state.

After more than 9 months of building behind the scenes, today we are launching the next generation of Light Protocol.
Light v3 is the very first zkLayer that allows the execution of private programs directly on @solana.
We call them:

However, it is enabled with the full zkSNARK authentication with a rate equal to 400 ms for one atomic transaction to process. This also supports instant settlements on Solana without rollups, supporting correct status transaction under client calculation. In addition, this never reveals the transition on its own.
How to use light protocol?
Using the Light protocol is made easier with the reference tutorials and documentation added on their website. Starting from the basics to advanced including the discussions set up on Discord with email support is supported.
Accessible via Github
Light Protocol has granted access to its GitHub enabled with the security policy under the GPL-3.0 license for the developers. The Next-Gen zkLayer for Solana will bring their testnet live with the Solana Mainnet earlier in the coming months. Meanwhile, the users can start building their PSP project at any time, which is also customizable.
Most recently, in March, Light Protocol updated the $1.52 million of Solana (SOL) that was shielded from private transaction auditing when Light V1 finished 2 million transactions. In addition, the announcement of Light V2 seems huge among the crypto community on Twitter.
