TL;DR
-
Back in February, we wrote about the ‘Checks’ NFT project that started as an open edition at $8 a pop (the price of a Twitter check), and eventually grew to more than $50 million USD on sale and now the artist behind the project is back at it.

The’Checks elementsproject includes earth, fire, water, and air in 152 generative works of art featuring the Twitter checkmark, with a portion of auction proceeds donated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.

The more sales and the higher the prices, the more is donated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital – and that’s a good thing.

Let’s wrap it up today with something just damn cool.
Back in February, we wrote about the ‘Checks’ NFT project that started as an open edition at $8 a pop (the price of a Twitter check), and eventually grew to more than $50 million USD for sale.
Now the artist behind the project, Jack Butcher, is at it again.
This time, he’s teamed up with master graphic artist Jean Milant to create artworks that have both a physical and digital component – and they’ll be up for auction later this week at Christie’s.
The’Checks elementsproject includes earth, fire, water, and air in 152 generative works of art featuring the Twitter checkmark, with a portion of auction proceeds donated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
While the original ‘Checks’ NFTs sold for $8 each, they skyrocketed in value after it was announced that multiple NFTs could be ‘burned’ (permanently destroyed) and turned into a single, rarer, NFT.
Since then, original editions have been settled at a rock bottom price of ~0.36 ETH (~$670 USD).
Based on Butcher’s track record, it’s likely there will be a few surprises at the Christie’s auction.
The more sales and the higher the prices, the more is donated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital – and that’s a good thing.
Like we said, no crazy news here, just something cool!
