The TikTok memecoin story is the latest wave, with the leading gem, Just a chill guy [CHILLGUY]making millions from crypto traders who caught the trend early.
In just two weeks, the focus of top mindset has shifted from AI agents to DeSci (Decentralized Science), and now TikTok meta is the latest trend.
Rotating capital by chasing trend stories can be risky, but some traders saw a wild windfall by jumping on the CHILLGUY trend.
CHILLGUY’s meteoric rise
The ‘just a chill guy’ meme, featuring a dog-bear-like animal in a relaxed pose, has been trending on social media in recent days.
Someone jumped on the trend and created a memecoin, which was launched on Solana via Pump.fun. TikTok picked it up and pumped it to a market cap of half a billion dollars in less than a week.

Interestingly, the record growth even surpassed the wild rally that PNUT witnessed.
CHILLGUY holders surpassed 100K in just a week, while it took more than 10 days for PNUT crotch 60K holders. At the time of writing, CHILLGUY holders were at 103.8K per Solcan facts.
The number of holders rose even after the slight decline saw the market cap drop from $500 million to around $400 million at the time of writing. This indicated high market interest and potential for recovery for the memecoin.

In terms of token distribution, the top ten holders controlled approximately 10% of the total CHILLGUY supply of 999.9 million. This meant that top holders could have limited influence on the price action even if they dumped their stock.
Moreover, the token was among the top 10 trending Solana tokens. This could positively impact prices as long as TikTok’s stories continue to dominate.

In just a week, CHILLGUY rose from $0.002 to $0.5, a price increase of no less than +10,000%. That’s a 100x gem that was highly sought after by most crypto traders. Put another way, someone who invested $100 at the low could be worth $10,000 when CHILLGUY peaked at $0.5.
If traction continues, the next key levels to watch are $0.7 and $0.28. However, like all memecoins, it is speculative and could go to zero Solana [SOL] the better exposure to the memecoin mania.
