Dapper Labs, one of the renowned blockchain companies in the NFT ecosystem, has revived the NFT phenomenon ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl. According to reports, the NFT maker is taking advantage of the event to advertise promotions to coincide with the mega sporting event.
Dapper Labs reportedly released promotional packs of its “NFL All Day” digital collectibles during the playoffs in January. Following the promotion, the NFTs saw impressive sales, including a Tom Brady NFT that sold for $40,000. Another digital piece featuring quarterback Aaron Rodgers also brought in $34,000 in sales, according to the company.
Reports indicate that Dapper Labs NFT All Day, digital collectibles of video highlights that people can trade on an open marketplace, has sold nearly $10 million since the NFL regular season began in September.
The increased momentum in Dapper Labs’ promotional efforts suggests that the Web3 company is looking to capitalize on America’s biggest sporting event to good effect. The blockchain company has reportedly released NFTs featuring famous moments from the careers of all-time great Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks such as Joe Montana and John Elway.
In addition to the NFTs released, Dapper Labs convinced the two Hall of Fame inductees to promote the digital collectibles, as seen in a post from NFL All Day on X (formerly Twitter). The event could mark a comeback for NFTs after a prolonged slowdown in the digital collectibles market since the bear market.
The Super Bowl is one of America’s most important sporting events and Sunday’s game is between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas. It is a sports festival that is considered by many to be a viable annual marketing opportunity in the US
