IQ today announced its Agent Tokenization Platform that allows users to create agents that hold tokens and perform operations on a blockchain.
The platform introduces entities that operate without centralized oversight, exercise control over their own assets, and engage in on-chain protocols under evolving governance structures.
Unlike early AI agent tokens, which largely served as tools rather than fully independent participants, these agents function as sovereign blockchain entities capable of refining their capabilities through tokenized ecosystems. The approach reflects a growing demand for autonomous frameworks in the decentralized finance world, where complexity often hinders broader engagement.
IQ aims to address the fact that there are over 600 million holders worldwide, while only around 7 million participate in DeFi activities. ATP integrates conversational AI interfaces, simplifying processes that were once spread across multiple platforms. Users can now use simple prompts to direct agents to perform complex tasks that previously required countless steps.
As the symbolic value of these agents grows, participants gain access to more advanced features, co-own agents, and distribute governance responsibilities across a broad network.
IQ’s ATP uses a distinctive model in which agents operate independently, analyze extensive data sets and execute return strategies tailored to different user profiles. They can own tokens, move assets on-chain, and respond to subtle market signals.
By introducing these capabilities, ATP aims to provide a more accessible entry point for builders to experiment and launch operations along the chain without complexity. The platform’s emphasis on conversational prompts aligns with its vision of simplifying decentralized finance, moving beyond past approaches that relied on centralized oversight or narrowly defined parameters.
Backed by IQ tokens, the platform includes board participation, liquidity pegging and deflationary mechanisms. A portion of the fees paid in IQ are burned, and the rest is distributed as staking rewards, tying demand for the agents to the broader IQ token ecosystem.
Agents launched on ATP will pair with IQ tokens, building relationships that increase network resilience and amplify the utility of tokens. Because users co-own and manage these agents, they influence the direction and share in the outcomes that reflect market forces and emerging blockchain standards. The integration of tokenization, autonomy and on-chain governance aligns with the principles set forth by the IQ token ecosystem.
IQ plans to migrate its existing AI products to ATP’s model. IQ GPT, which serves millions of users, will be relaunched as a tokenized agent directly controlled by the community, distributing decision-making power and enabling broad participation.
Sophia, an AI editor supporting IQ.wiki, will leverage ATP’s tokenized incentives to reward those who curate and expand blockchain knowledge. The interconnected nature of these offerings suggests that as ATP agents become more capable, their communities can shape their trajectories, strengthening the links between knowledge generation and decentralized value exchange.
The initial implementation of ATP on the Fraxtal blockchain uses an AIVM and Proof of Inference consensus system to ensure true autonomy for agents. This integration highlights the collaboration between IQ and Fraxtal, with the aim of broadening the accessibility of advanced DeFi capabilities.
The Fraxtal team’s approach allows each AI agent to become fully sovereign and operate without the control of a single entity. IQ’s partnership with Frax responds to a growing push for easy-to-use on-chain environments, where complex operations become as instantaneous as a single prompt.
This launch positions ATP as a foundation for building and managing agents that transcend previous limitations, allowing participants to run decentralized operations with fewer barriers. The result is an environment where agents perform tasks without the need for centralized coordination, and where users guide these entities through clear instructions.
By shifting the emphasis to sovereignty, tokenization, and community-driven growth, IQ’s Agent Tokenization Platform sets a potential precedent for decentralized technology.
