The Cardano ecosystem has welcomed Huawei Cloud, one of the largest cloud computing companies in the world, to extend the reach of the Cardano network.
In particular, Cardano’s blockchain partner EMURGO has entered into an alliance with Huawei Cloud to promote Web3 solutions through Cardano. EMURGO revealed this new partnership with Huawei in an official press statement today, April 11.
According to the report, the alliance aims to promote the adoption of Cardano-based Web3 solutions in Asia and Africa. In addition, the collaboration includes expanding support for a Cardano Validator Node on the Huawei Cloud platform.

Details of the Cardano alliance with Huawei Cloud
For context, Huawei Cloud is the flagship cloud services under the technology giant Huawei. Huawei Cloud is considered one of the most important cloud computing entities worldwide.
Under this alliance, EMURGO will establish a Cardano Validator Node on Huawei Cloud, effectively integrating Huawei’s cloud infrastructure into Cardano’s public blockchain ecosystem.
Furthermore, the partnership allows Cardano developers to leverage Huawei Cloud’s extensive computing resources to build Web3 solutions. Cardano will also gain access to Huawei’s Marketplace, a widely used platform among leading companies. Furthermore, the new alliance aims to strengthen the interoperability and scalability of Cardano’s cloud services.
At the same time, the report emphasized that this milestone marks the first step towards broader cooperation between EMURGO and Huawei. It noted that it aligns with EMURGO’s goal to expand the Cardano ecosystem to key regional economies in Asia-Pacific and Africa.
Ken Kodama, the CEO of EMURGO, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Huawei Cloud, saying:

Similarly, Rex Lei Yang, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, expressed his delight at the partnership. Lei Yang noted that the company offers access to an extensive network of Web3 developers through Cardano.
