TL; DR
Full story
We always talk about how there are more use cases for crypto tokens than just money – and this could really support that argument.
What are we talking about?
Picture this: you go out to dinner with some friends, scan your personal QR code, stay for an hour or so… all while getting rewarded because you are there.
When you leave, check your phone and see that new tokens have been added to your wallet.
That is exactly the basic concept of ‘Scene’ ☝️.
This is how it works:
Scene’s founders believe there are greater uses for tokens beyond ‘money’ – and that one of those use cases is community property.
Scene rewards community members with crypto tokens every time they interact, whether hosting or attending events, with the ultimate goal of encouraging people to create more face-to-face communities.
The interesting thing here:
Scene’s founders have stated that they want to create software that will allow people to go into space, without it is about ‘money’ or about an investment.
That sounds fantastic! But…
Our assessment is that these tokens will most likely transition into monetary assets once the underlying community gains traction.
(For example, just look at the ‘F.W.B‘ community token – it’s currently worth ~$4, but once pushed back $200 when the market/community was popular).
