EVM-compatible and gasless blockchain SKALE Network reached 17 million unique active wallets (UAW) in the first quarter, according to a report shared by SKALE Labs, the team behind the project. Additionally, the report states that SKALE “saved its users $3.1 billion in gas costs in the first quarter,” compared to its network with BNB Chain and AVAX, which charged more than $330 million in fees in March alone .
Additionally, more than 70 projects and integrations adopted SKALE technology in the first quarter, contributing to its expansion. The report mentions partnerships with ChainGPT, TCG, Dmail, NFT Arcade and others.
“SKALE’s throttle-free approach fundamentally changes the playing field for Ethereum developers. By eliminating gas fees and providing immediate finality, SKALE enables developers to use blockchain in a much more meaningful and impactful way,” said Jack O’Holleran, CEO and co-founder of SKALE Labs. “SKALE’s throttle-free model allows developers to focus on accessibility and user experience, while still staying true to Web3’s core principles. We see the results in action every day, as millions of users initiate more than a million transactions per day on the network and hundreds of projects and companies build on SKALE.”
At this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), SKALE announced $2 million in grants, paid in the protocol’s native token, for projects looking to build new games using its infrastructure. O’Holleran told Crypto Briefing that blockchain gaming is poised to have a significant impact on the industry.
“We believe games being released now have the potential to set a new industry standard by leveraging AppChain technology to deliver unique gameplay experiences, improved monetization models and true asset ownership.” provide game assets. As the industry continues to evolve, we are excited to see how developers use SKALE’s scalability and gasless transactions to push the boundaries of what is possible in blockchain gaming,” he concludes.
