New information indicates that the upcoming Trump Digital Trading Cards collection will include some items minted as Bitcoin Ordinals.
The announcement specifies that these inscriptions will be unique, with only one of each, and that 200 will be minted. This strategic move by Trump NFT aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of Bitcoin Ordinals inscriptions.
When the NFT collections featuring the former US president surfaced, they generated mixed reactions within the crypto community.
According to data from Crypto SlamThe launch of the Trump Digital Trading Cards collection created a lot of hype and resulted in substantial sales.
On the first day, total sales volume was approximately $171,000. The next day, sales rose to over $2 million and peaked at over $3.5 million on December 17, 2022. However, after reaching this peak, the data showed a subsequent decline in hype and sales.
The chart illustrates that the highest recorded sales volume after the peak remained below $400,000. As of the last day of 2023, total sales were approximately $291. At the time of writing, sales volume was approximately $4,100.
Recent Bitcoin Ordinals Trends
A study on the Bitcoin Ordinals trend showed a decline in registrations in recent days. According to the Dune Analytics chart, although there were occasional increases earlier this year, they have not been sustained.
Daily registrations reached more than 400,000 on January 13 and 14, but have remained below that threshold since. Currently the number of registrations is approximately 150,000.
