Washington, DC, January 6, 2025 – Today is the official launch of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA)a nonprofit organization committed to advancing clear and ethical public policy, research, and education around emerging technologies, including decentralized technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrency, Web3 innovations, and artificial intelligence.
DSA aims to increase the quality of government policy and public understanding of blockchain technology. Through in-depth research and dynamic educational events, DSA will work to promote an informed approach to technology management, with a strong emphasis on ethics, transparency and digital sovereignty.
“DSA was founded to lead critical, bipartisan conversations and advocate for policies that ensure emerging technologies benefit society as a whole,” said Adrian Wall, director of DSA. “With rapid developments in areas such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, which offer enormous benefits to society, it is essential that government policy keeps pace with addressing the ethical and societal implications. We want to bring together experts, policymakers and the public to champion thoughtful, forward-looking policies.”
DSA’s work will focus on:
- Research: Conduct and publish research to deepen understanding of decentralized and digital technologies.
- Educational events: Organizing conferences, workshops and forums to engage stakeholders and promote dialogue on responsible technology adoption.
- Policy advocacy: Promoting and supporting legislation and regulations that encourage innovation, while prioritizing ethical considerations and the public good.
As part of its mission, DSA will also work with key stakeholders across all sectors to support a framework that drives innovation, transparency and regulatory compliance. DSA is proudly supported by a coalition of crypto and blockchain industry pioneers, led by TRON DAOa community-governed DAO committed to accelerating the decentralization of the Internet through blockchain technology and dApps, and bringing significant expertise and resources to further DSA’s mission.
