Cool Cats Group, the Web3 company behind NFT collection Cool Cats, is joining forces with three game publishers: nWay, iCandy – entities within the Animoca Brands ecosystem – and Sync Studios. These collaborations aim to create new games with the Cool Cats brand and characters. The triad of games is currently in production and will launch between late 2023 and early 2024.
The announcement marks another step in Cool Cats’ continued venture into the mainstream. Notably, the company recently announced a strategic investment from Web3 titan Animoca Brands, along with a strategic alliance with leading metaverse infrastructure and content company, Futureverse.

Partnerships with nWay, iCandy and Sync Studios
The Cool Cats venture with way starts with a competitive multiplayer arcade game. nWay, a San Francisco-based branch of Animoca Brands, boasts a proven track record in fast-paced multiplayer games, developing and publishing titles such as Power Rangers: Legacy Wars And ChronoBlade.
The second game, produced in collaboration with iCandy Interactive Limitedan endless runner game in the browser in 2D, is scheduled for release in September 2023. With over 370 million gamers worldwide, iCandy, supported by Animoca Brands, is one of the leading developers in Australia and South East Asia.
In collaboration with Sync Studios, Cool Cats will also launch a match3 game on mobile platforms. A match3 game is similar to Bejeweled or Candy Crush where players have to match the items and get three in a row.
Sync Studios, known for successful partnerships with Voodoo and Lion Studios and for developing IP games for giants such as Hasbro, Paramount Studios and Warner Brothers, is joined by PlayEmber, a Web3 mobile game publisher backed by Shima Capital and Big Brain Holdings.
What’s next
Cool Cats Group is broadening its scope beyond gaming with a series of partnerships and activations designed to broaden its audience. Notably, they will have a float in the near future Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in November and will host a booth at International Comic Con this month.
