For two-time Super Bowl Champion, Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback just added another flex to his playbook as part of a new collaboration with Azuki, according to a press release shared with nft now.
The Museum of Mahomes (M.O.M.), an innovative digital collectibles platform founded by the two-time NFL Superbowl Champion and D-O-M marketing agency, leverages blockchain technology to help redefine how fans collect sports cards and memorabilia.
It unveiled its latest collaboration with the decentralized anime storytelling brand early Monday afternoon. This also marks Azuki’s second venture into sports partnerships, following its 2022 partnership with Formula One’s Oracle Red Bull Racing.
As part of the collaboration, M.O.M. will release a physical trading card exclusively for original Azuki token holders, featuring custom artwork of Mahomes that was designed by the Azuki art team. This will be free to current Azuki token holders.
One of the trading cards will be a special one-of-one card with additional Mahomes-themed design elements also created by Azuki’s art team. This one-of-one trading card will be raffled off by an Azuki community member to the Azuki community during a live stream later this month.
“We’re proud to announce the collaboration between Museum of Mahomes and Azuki on exclusive limited edition physical cards!” said M.O.M. in a tweet.
In March 2021, M.O.M. sold 500 unique digital collectibles, generating $3.7 million in revenue and broke the world record for the highest-grossing athlete NFT drop within a 20-minute window. The curated, open edition digital art collection reflected significant moments in Mahomes’s life.
M.O.M.’s collaboration with Azuki is marks an innovative move in the world digital sports collectibles. This now extends an opportunity to Azuki’s community to have access to exclusive memorabilia showcasing Patrick Mahomes’ standout early achievements.
