- The upgrades on the Cardano blockchain took a faster turn after the Dubai event.
- A new betting feature may appear on Lace, a popular Cardano wallet.
As it has done every week Cardanos [ADA] engineering and research department Input Output, provided an overview of what happened to the blockchain between November 6 and 10. Interestingly, this report is the first after the 2023 Cardano Summit.
This year’s summit took place in Dubai. As usual it was composed by the Cardano Foundation and served as a platform for the community to learn, network and collaborate with blockchain builders.
The number of projects is increasing
During the week, 148 projects were launched on the network. There were also 78 million transactions. One of the reasons there were still a lot of transactions happening wasn’t because of the increase The price of ADA only.
On the contrary, the Mithril team made progress in decentralizing its peer-to-peer (P2P) concept. The Mithril mainnet upgrade feature helps increase the speed, efficiency and effectiveness of the nodes on the Cardano.
A node in the blockchain ecosystem is a computer responsible for storing information on the blockchain. Regarding the Mithril upgrade, Input Output noted:
“They have made progress in decentralizing the Mithril networks with the peer-to-peer (P2P) network proof of concept, for which they have achieved the implementation of a very simple working demo with a peer-to-peer publishing-subscribe ( pub-sub) ) mechanism.”
These types of upgrades were some of the reasons why Cardano was able to do so turn around Dot [DOT] when it comes to development activities. AMBCryptos research of development activity at the time of writing showed that Cardano remained at the top.

The development activity tracks the work done in a project’s public GitHub repository. Thus, the increase in the statistic suggests that developers on the network remain committed to delivering features on the blockchain.
The coming weeks have even more in store
As development activity grew, so did 24-hour active addresses. Due to the increase in the number of active addresses, market participants have made many transfers on the Cardano network.
The Lace team was involved in other developments on the network. The Lace wallet is a platform created to enable easy staking on Cardano. It also allows users to send multiple assets to different addresses at the same time.
At the 2023 Summit, Lace noted that it was partnering with Input Output for some features. In regards to staking, Lace noted that a new feature could appear on the wallet next week. The report noted that:
“They have also been working on improving the multi-staking feature that will be released next week.”

In conclusion, Input Output revealed that approximately 150 community members had signed up to join Interesect.
Intersect is a member-based ecosystem organization whose role is to ensure the continuity and future development of the project. With the sign-ups, Cardano can now be armed with a new group of developers to fuel its growth.
