Ankr, a well-known DeFi platform, has launched a new partnership to expand its reach. According to the company, the partnership with Prom (a zkEVM L2) focuses on enabling developers to build on it for interconnected and scalable dApps. In addition, the effort in question would also allow the users to perform request calls. Moreover, they can also get information back just like the results related to operating a completion node.
📢 Ankr is pleased to announce a new addition to our RPC service: @Prom_io, a modular zkEVM Layer 2.
Prom enables interoperability between different chains, including both EVM and non-EVM compatible networks 🔄

Ankr partners with Prom for L2 RPC development
Prom works as a modular L2 using zkEVM technology. It offers interoperability around various chains. They take into account both non-EVM and EVM compatible networks. The platform provides evidence of transfer to the additional chains via the selected settlement chain. In this way it bridges the gap between different ecosystems.
Prom’s goal is to overcome the limitations of one chain and provide a highly elastic solution to drive adoption. The company offers a range of features related to the Web3 sector to really fit the market narrative. Another goal is to develop a basis for a broad blockchain ecosystem. Prom Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) from Ankr connect the wallets, dApps or command line interface to the L2 of Prom.
These RPCs work as blockchain routers and messengers that distribute information along the chain between nodes, decentralized applications, and users. As a result, they perform required tasks such as fund transfers, filling wallet balances, and so on. Prom RPC endpoints provide developers with a gateway to directly interfere with Prom. Building on Prom is considered a suitable choice for creating rewarding and scalable decentralized applications.
Prom-RPCs help developers with time-saving and advanced tools
However, this requires access to information about the nodes on Prom. Therefore, Ankr’s RPC solves the following problems of the developers. The respective RPCs will completely eliminate the developer requirement regarding setting up Prom nodes. This will potentially save time in troubleshooting the junction issues.
Ankr’s Premium RPC Plan provides quick access to the best app development tools. This takes into account a minimum of 1,500 Prom requests per second, along with dedicated Prom endpoints. Prioritized requests are another specialty in addition to WebSockets capabilities. It supports open source software and apps that require Prom’s access. Moreover, it also supports the Prom networks.
