Animoca Brands Japan introduces limited edition digital NFTs based on the main characters of the TV anime Liar Liar. Haruki Kuou performed the first creation and was duly published by KADOKAWA. Konomi and Funa Yukina were responsible for creating the character on Weebox. This was the first outlet in the decentralized city of San Fran Tokyo, built by KLKTN.
Liar, Liar was introduced through Crunchyroll starting in July 2023. It became internationally popular and generated large volumes of anime enthusiasts. In March 2024, Animoca Brands Japan plans to release NFTs featuring efigurines depicting the first creations of the series’ sought-after characters such as Himeji Shirayuki, Saionji Sarasa, and Shiina Tsumugi.
Each Liar, Liar NFT allows its owner to obtain a similar tangible figurine with the same creativity and connected by a real-time Physical Backed Token (PBT). This is the latest Ethereum token benchmark that links a real-time product to a digital token. All users who purchase the NFTs will have the opportunity to get their real-world figures on Weebox during a claim period. The Liar, Liar efigurine NFTs will launch in March 2024 and will come in a limited edition of 1,000 NFTs related to each character.
