Amazon has postponed the launch of the NFT trading platform to May. According to previous reports, the IT giant planned to launch the Amazon Digital Marketplace on April 24. The marketplace will be available to users in the United States first and then expand to other countries.
After the crash of the FTX crypto exchange in November, Amazon decided to postpone the launch of the NFT trading platform until the end of 2022 due to difficult market conditions. The latest delay is due to precautions taken to protect against technological errors and unforeseen circumstances.
Amazon Digital Marketplace will feature 80 collections of non-fungible tokens, including such popular NFT series as Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club. However, only 15 collections are initially planned to be added to the platform.
