Altlayer, a popular decentralized protocol for the launch and improvement of rollups, has announced its latest collaboration with Astar Network, a prominent blockchain platform and self-layer, the security protocol of Ethereum for validation outside the chain. The partnership is intended to reveal fast finality on Soneium, optimism (OP) Stack-built L2 blockchain from Sony Block Solutions Labs. The Altlayer and Astar networks have announced this joint position on their official X accounts.
Altlayer works together with @astarnetwork & @eigenlayer to bring faster finality to @soneium – Sony’s on Stack L2.
The fast finality is powered by Altlayer’s Mach AVS. It sets a new benchmark for Rollup performance.

Altlayer, Astar Network and Eigenlayer Partner to make faster finality on Soneium possible
Altlayer’s collaboration with Astar Network and Eigenlayer promises to reduce the finality times considerably to lower than 10 seconds on Soneium. Soneium is currently using Ethereum’s fraud-resistant mechanism, which requires a delay of almost fifteen minutes for L1 scheme. That is why the latest development is planning to offer a considerable speed in finality.
Although safe, the aforementioned delay has a huge bottleneck in the case of applications that require reliable and fast cross-chain activities. User classes that have to do with gaming, social platforms and decentralized finances (Defi) are specifically sensitive to this type of delay. This can hinder real -time interactions and increase consumer friction.
In order to take on the respective challenge, Astar Network reportedly integrated with modular asynchronous consensushybir technology from Altlayer. Its integration with the advanced repairing infrastructure of Owlayer offers a fast finality layer, so that Soneium can validate transfers in real -time transfers.
The Mach solution from Altlayer offers a package of the latest performance improvements. They take real -time validation into account, reduced dependence on centrally controlled sequences and a success track in other prominent roles. The respective possibilities improve speed, security and decentralization, which extends the possibilities for the L2 networks. To offer improved security, the double linked model is also used, including both $ ASTR (the native token of Astart Network) and Ethereum ($ ETH). As a result, Validators will secure the network with the use of both tokens. This will open exclusive deployment options.
The accessibility and liquidity of $ astru driving, apart from making Soneium High-Performance Rollup
According to Altlayer, the partnership takes place after the recent list of $ astru on uniswap. That is why this increases the accessibility and liquidity of $ astru in the Ethereum Defi Ecosystem. The fast finality upgrade for Soneium positions it as a powerful roles for Real-World applications.
