TL;DR
-
Block explorers like Etherscan are one mess of watered down block code – but they can be powerful tools.
-
For example, you can search them to find out which tokens/NFTs the ‘big players’ are buying or selling.
-
The only problem is that it feels like you need a computer science degree to figure it all out.
-
With an AI assistant you could just ask him “what tokens/NFTs are the ‘big players’ buying right now?” and it would work for you to the grunt.
-
Today Solana takes the first steps towards that reality by announcing the development of a ChatGPT plugin.
-
It’s still early days – but it lays the groundwork for AI plugins to one day double as the “Google Search” of the blockchain world.
Full story
Remember last week when we talked about the advent of AI as one Good thing (not a bad ding) for the Web3 space?
There is quite an aversion to the mixing of blockchain and AI, as many see it as a jump from one hype train to another.
And they are not wrong!
Many of the early attempts to link the two seemed more like a desperate branding game than an actual functioning relationship. But we must not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
One of the marriages we wanted to see is AI being used to translate blockchain explorers.
Block explorers like Etherscan are one mess of watered down block code – but they can be powerful tools.

The only problem is that it feels like you need a computer science degree to figure it all out. With an AI assistant you could just ask him “what tokens/NFTs are the ‘big players’ currently buying?” and it would work for you to the grunt.
Today Solana takes the first steps towards that reality by announcing the development of a ChatGPT plugin.
It’s still early days – the bot is mainly designed to check wallet balances, transfer tokens and buy NFTs on behalf of the user…
But! It paves the way for AI plugins to one day double as the “Google Search” of the blockchain world.
Very exciting.
